...I'm just saying.
I've never seen the Criterion offices so starstruck as we all were when the great Tatsuya Nakadai came to visit last Friday. Just so cool.
(Also: apologies for the infrequent updates. I hope to have time to write a few things this weekend, but I've been absolutely swamped with stuff, including a project very near and dear to my heart that's been in the works for over a year, which hopefully I'll be able to announce soon!)

I read where Film Forum was having the retrospective of his work. Wish I could have attended. Darn you, NYC, you guys have everything.
Coincidentally, I just watched this for the firt time a few days ago and really enjoyed it. What an oddly humorous film. Very quirky.
I really like liked the off kilter design approach you used for the set. Really seemed to suit the films.
Wow! You got Nakadai's autograph! I seriously am jealous!!!
Holy cow, and he even wrote "to Eric-san". How cool is that!!!???~!!
You are so lucky to have met him! Nakadai was so under-rated, so in Mifune's shadow in some ways. It amazes me how gracious Nakadai is about Mifune's swordplay skills. Nakadai is such a gentleman! How exciting to have met the last leading man from Japan's golden age of cinema!
